UNSPSC 39112305: Gobo rotators and light moving effect accessories

UNSPSC 39112305 Gobo rotators and light moving effect accessories is a Commodity code with minimal recent relevance to state and local procurement activity. The code nominally describes theatrical lighting control and effects equipment, but the recent opportunities tagged to this code do not match that scope; instead, they encompass bridge replacement, stormwater pipe rehabilitation, airfield lighting, general electrical contracting, broadcast engineering, CCTV cabling, and electrical supplies across multiple jurisdictions and service lines. None of the posted solicitations actually solicit gobo rotators, lighting effects accessories, or related stage-lighting components. The mismatch between the code's narrow product definition and the diversity of unrelated infrastructure and facility work in the opportunities block indicates that this code sees little meaningful activity in state and local procurement.

State and local procurement offices rarely initiate standalone buys for theatrical lighting effects equipment at the Commodity level. When such equipment is procured, it typically appears embedded in larger capital projects (such as a civic center renovation or museum exhibit) rather than as a dedicated solicitation. No recent opportunities in the block—Orange County Florida bridge replacements, Palm Bay stormwater work, Lee County airfield lighting, Illinois museum track lighting, school district athletic and maintenance supplies, transit station electrical infrastructure, or city-wide electrical supplies agreements—reflect demand for gobo rotators or light moving effect accessories. The code appears inactive or systematically miscoded in current state and local procurement workflow.
