UNSPSC 31321201: Aluminum solvent welded bar stock assemblies

UNSPSC 31321201 Aluminum solvent welded bar stock assemblies is a Commodity code with limited recent alignment to state and local procurement activity. The recent opportunities tagged to this code show minimal relevance to the nominal scope: the Texas Department of Criminal Justice is requesting aluminum tubing under IFB IW257847 (due July 24, 2026), and the State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services issued RFQ #29B 26022400000000000207 for virgin aluminum substrate material for motor vehicle license plates (due April 3, 2026). The remaining opportunities in the block—building repairs, roofing, painting, siding, fire hydrants, educational outreach services, and engineering design—fall outside the code's scope of welded aluminum assemblies and suggest inconsistent or incorrect code tagging by the issuing agencies.

The issuing bodies posting under this code represent state agencies and departments rather than counties, cities, or school districts. Recent activity appears concentrated in Texas (TDCJ and TEA solicitations) and Maine (motor vehicle license plate materials), with the opportunities spanning raw materials procurement rather than finished welded assemblies. No repeated issuing bodies or established patterns of solicitation activity emerge from the available data. Without clear evidence of sustained, properly tagged procurement volume under this Commodity code, business development professionals should verify code accuracy directly with issuing agencies before committing resources to pursuit.
