UNSPSC 31320000: Fabricated bar stock assemblies

UNSPSC 31320000 Fabricated bar stock assemblies (Family) shows minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The single recent opportunity posted under this code—the Borough of Naugatuck, Connecticut's May 2026 IFB for hardware, lumber, signs, construction, and maintenance supplies—does not reflect fabricated bar stock assemblies or metal fabrication products. The solicitation targets general-purpose construction and facilities-maintenance supplies for municipal operations, a category that falls outside the code's stated definition and suggests potential misclassification in the source records.

The Borough of Naugatuck's IFB (due May 28, 2026) required sealed bids for a one-year contract running July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with vendors encouraged to apply for MBE, WBE, and SBE recognition and required to locate within five miles of borough limits. The solicitation imposed standard insurance requirements (Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Automobile, and Umbrella Liability) and evaluated bids on pricing and compliance alone. Without additional recent opportunities in the source data, the code appears quiet at the state and local level, and the single Connecticut posting does not establish meaningful geographic or issuing-body patterns. Firms targeting fabricated bar stock assemblies for state and local procurement should verify that opportunities are properly tagged under this Family code rather than grouped with general supply categories.
