UNSPSC 31162205: Ratchet rivets

UNSPSC 31162205 Ratchet rivets, a Commodity code, covers fastening hardware that state and local governments procure as consumable parts for maintenance, repair, and construction operations across facilities, vehicles, and equipment. Recent state and local opportunities under this code show minimal solicitation activity, with no substantial postings identified in the most-recent opportunities block. The code represents a narrow, specialized fastener category — ratchet rivets are blind rivets with mechanical locking mechanisms used in applications where vibration resistance and secure fastening are required — and appears to be purchased primarily through standing-supply contracts, cooperative vehicles, or general MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) procurement rather than dedicated solicitations.

The geographic distribution and issuing-body mix for ratchet-rivet procurement cannot be characterized from recent state and local contract notices, as the source shows no active opportunities tagged to this code. Practitioners pursuing this commodity should monitor general fastener and hardware RFQs and ITBs issued by state purchasing offices, county facilities departments, and city maintenance bureaus, which often bundle ratchet rivets with broader fastener line items rather than soliciting them as standalone lots. Activity under this code is likely embedded in larger supply-schedule awards or cooperative purchasing frameworks rather than visible in discrete state and local notices.
