NIGP 32060: Rivets, All Types (Except Brake Lining Rivets)

NIGP 32060 Rivets, All Types (Except Brake Lining Rivets) is an Item code covering the procurement of fasteners used in structural assembly, aircraft maintenance, and heavy equipment repair across state and local agencies. State and local governments buy rivets primarily through maintenance and repair operations at transportation departments, public works facilities, school district maintenance shops, and municipal utilities; purchasing patterns reflect routine stock replenishment and project-based fastener needs for fabrication, assembly, and equipment upkeep. Issuing bodies soliciting under this code span state transportation departments, county public works offices, city maintenance divisions, and independent school districts, with purchases typically bundled into broader MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) solicitations or standalone fastener contracts.

The source contains no posted state and local contract opportunities under this code, limiting visibility into current geographic concentration or representative recent activity. Without recent solicitations to characterize market activity, procurement professionals should monitor state purchasing portals and cooperative-buying vehicle catalogs in their target geographies for visibility into rivet purchasing patterns, as this code typically reflects routine operational spend rather than high-profile, narrowly timed RFP cycles.
