UNSPSC 31121809: Beryllium ceramic mold machined castings

UNSPSC 31121809 Beryllium ceramic mold machined castings (Commodity) reflects a highly specialized manufacturing domain with minimal recent activity in state and local procurement. State and local governments do not typically solicit beryllium ceramic mold machined castings through open procurement channels; this commodity tier code addresses industrial-grade precision castings used in aerospace, defense, and specialized electronics manufacturing — sectors where procurement is dominated by federal contracting, original equipment manufacturers, and prime defense contractors rather than state or municipal buying offices. The work nominally involves precision casting of beryllium components using ceramic mold techniques, followed by machining to final specification, but state and local jurisdictions rarely appear as direct purchasers of this material class.

No recent state or local contract opportunities under this code appear in the available procurement record. The absence of activity does not necessarily signal that the commodity is obsolete or unavailable, but rather that state and local governments do not operate as end-users or procurement bodies for beryllium ceramic castings. Any commercial interest in this code should focus on federal defense and aerospace primes as customers, not state and local agencies.
