UNSPSC 27111726: Spanner wrenches

UNSPSC 27111726 Spanner wrenches (Commodity) covers hand tools for tightening and loosening nuts and bolts, but the recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not reflect typical spanner wrench purchases. Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners issued an ITB on July 7, 2026 for consumable janitorial and operational supplies — a mismatch with the code's nominal scope. The solicitation, ITB2600319, seeks janitorial and living supplies for the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Department's 47 fire stations on an as-needed basis under a one-year contract with an estimated value of $765,679.84 (due July 24, 2026). The County requires new, unused products in original packaging from authorized distributors, with standard delivery within ten days and emergency delivery within five business days to the Public Safety Operations Complex in Tampa, Florida. No minimum purchase quantities are guaranteed, and the County reserves discretion to award by line item, group, or overall net bid price.

The code shows limited relevant recent activity. The single recorded opportunity in the recent-opportunities block — the Hillsborough County janitorial supplies ITB — does not align with spanner wrench procurement and appears to represent a coding misclassification rather than genuine activity in hand tools under this Commodity code. Firms pursuing spanner wrench opportunities should monitor procurement channels directly rather than rely on this code as a signal of state and local demand.
