UNSPSC 26111534: Transmission hubs

UNSPSC 26111534 Transmission hubs, a Commodity code, does not align with the recent state and local activity tagged under it. The single recent opportunity in the dataset—DeKalb County's ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center—solicits IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation work, including conduit, pathways, cabling, and terminations, which falls outside the transmission hub product category. The code nominally covers mechanical power-transmission components (gearboxes, shaft couplings, and similar industrial equipment), yet the posted opportunity addresses electrical and data infrastructure systems in a municipal recreation facility. This mismatch suggests either a data-entry or classification error on the issuing body's side.

No substantive recent procurement activity exists under this code in state and local government. The single solicitation from DeKalb County (Georgia) on June 9, 2026, with an ITB due date of July 13, 2026, does not represent actual demand for transmission hubs. Firms evaluating this code should flag the misclassification with DeKalb County's procurement office and monitor whether future corrections emerge, or investigate whether a related electrical-infrastructure or IT-systems code would be more relevant for tracking county-level facility work in Georgia and neighboring jurisdictions.
