UNSPSC 26111525: Drum motor drives

UNSPSC 26111525 Drum motor drives is a Commodity code that describes electromechanical drive components for rotating machinery, yet the single recent state and local opportunity tagged under it reflects a mismatch between the code's nominal scope and actual procurement activity. The DeKalb County ITB 2026-076-ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Decatur, Georgia, released June 9, 2026, with bids due July 13, 2026, requests IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation — conduit, cabling, raceways, terminations, and final documentation — not drum motor drives or rotating equipment. The opportunity scope covers furnishing and installing a complete information technology and low-voltage system per DeKalb County Department of Innovation and Technology standards, with final device location coordination prior to rough-in.

This code shows minimal relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. The single posted opportunity is an infrastructure construction project unrelated to drum motor drive procurement, suggesting either miscoding of the opportunity or very limited demand for drum motor drive components through state and local solicitation channels. No other jurisdictions or repeat buyers appear in the recent opportunities record, and no geographic concentration pattern emerges from one misaligned solicitation.
