UNSPSC 26111524: Gear units

UNSPSC 26111524 Gear units is a Commodity code that shows minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The single recent opportunity posted under this code—DeKalb County's ITB 2026-076-ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center—is plainly unrelated to gear units; the scope calls for information technology and low-voltage infrastructure installation, including conduit, cabling, raceways, and terminations, not mechanical power-transmission components. State and local procurement offices appear to tag infrastructure and construction work inconsistently, and this code does not reflect active demand for the industrial gear assemblies its UNSPSC designation nominally covers. The code shows no recent solicitations from state departments, school districts, transit authorities, or other issuing bodies for actual gear units or related mechanical transmission equipment.

No meaningful geographic concentration or issuing-body pattern emerges from the recent opportunities block, as the single misfiled record offers no signal of where state and local governments are sourcing gear units or what kinds of jurisdictions are actively buying them under this code. Firms evaluating pursuit under UNSPSC 26111524 should verify that customers are using this code correctly before committing business development resources; the code's recent activity record does not reflect genuine demand in the state and local market for gear units and related mechanical assemblies.
