UNSPSC 25201704: Encryption or decryption systems

UNSPSC 25201704 Encryption or decryption systems is a Commodity code that state and local governments use to classify cryptographic and data security equipment. The recent opportunities block contains no solicitations that clearly match this code's scope — one entry is a relocation notice for Williamson County Purchasing Department with no procurement substance, and the other is a Sourcewell cooperative RFP for law enforcement equipment (#061626, due June 16, 2026) that does not specify encryption or decryption systems as a line item or deliverable. The law enforcement equipment solicitation is a broad purchasing vehicle open to thousands of governmental agencies, K-12 school districts, and nonprofit organizations across the United States and Canada through Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government unit and service cooperative, but the available documentation does not identify whether cryptographic systems are included in the scope. Without recent opportunities explicitly soliciting encryption or decryption products or services, the code shows little relevant activity in the current state and local procurement pipeline.

Based on the sourced opportunities, no geographic spread or representative recent encryption-systems procurements can be characterized. Vendors monitoring this code should check Sourcewell's Procurement Portal directly (https://proportal.sourcewell-mn.gov) and track state purchasing offices and law enforcement agencies for future cryptographic-equipment RFPs, but current visibility into demand under 25201704 is limited.
