UNSPSC 25132002: Hot air balloons

UNSPSC 25132002 Hot air balloons is a Commodity code under which state and local governments procure individual hot air balloons and related equipment for special events, promotional activities, or operational programs. The code shows minimal recent activity in state and local procurement, with few opportunities posted in the past year. When solicitations do appear under this code, they typically represent one-time or episodic purchases rather than ongoing procurement streams, and the issuing bodies are scattered across different jurisdiction types with no clear repeat buyer pattern.

The City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania issued a micro purchase IFB (solicitation B2627122) on May 13, 2026, with a response deadline of May 27, 2026, for a U.S. Flag Free-Flying Hot Air Balloon. The procurement was to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; Philadelphia's submission process required vendors to register on the PHLContracts platform and submit executed Consent and Authorization Agreements, with optional diversity certifications including LGBTBE, MBE, WBE, and disability-owned designations. Beyond this Philadelphia opportunity, the available record shows no other substantive state or local solicitations under this code, and geographic concentration cannot be characterized from current activity. The code represents a thin market in state and local procurement and warrants monitoring rather than active pursuit unless your firm has existing relationships with municipalities planning event-centered capital purchases or promotional initiatives.
