UNSPSC 24121511: Packaging carton

A container for packing products in the packing industry.

UNSPSC 24121511 Packaging carton is a Commodity code covering cardboard boxes, folding cartons, and related shipping containers procured by state and local government for warehouse, storage, and distribution operations. State and local buyers under this code include school districts and municipal departments purchasing general warehouse and office supplies, where packaging cartons serve as consumables for internal operations, inventory management, and material handling. The solicitations show that packaging cartons are acquired either as standalone items within broader warehouse-supply procurements or as components embedded in printing and mailing workflows—notably, folding cartons and envelopes figure into the composition and finishing stages of large-scale document production for municipal utilities and tax administration.

Recent activity is sparse and geographically dispersed. Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas issued RFP2026094 for miscellaneous warehouse supplies (response due July 9, 2026) and the City of Madison, Wisconsin issued RFP 1500802026 for city-wide printing and mailing services (response due April 3, 2026), which includes envelope storage and mail-finishing operations. The code shows limited recent state and local opportunity volume, with packaging cartons appearing as incidental line items rather than primary procurement drivers in current solicitations.
