UNSPSC 23121519: Laboratory spinning system

Spinning equipment that is designed to be used in a laboratory for synthetic textile manufacturing. The spinning solution is extruded into an acid or alkali bath or air to form the filament and this machine winds it onto a bobbin.

UNSPSC 23121519 Laboratory spinning system (Commodity) covers specialized equipment and supplies used in laboratory centrifugation and sample preparation, though recent state and local procurement activity under this code shows minimal documented opportunities. The one recent solicitation identifies histology and toxicology supplies rather than spinning equipment per se, suggesting either a tagging mismatch or a very narrow and specialized application within the code's nominal scope.

Cook County, Illinois posted a re-bid for histology and toxicology supplies (Solicitation 245709110RR, due July 22, 2026), but the posting provides only commodity classification and deadline without scope detail, estimated value, contract term, or procurement history. No other recent state or local opportunities appear in the available records. The code shows little relevant recent activity, and the single documented opportunity does not clearly align with laboratory spinning systems as typically understood in procurement practice.
