UNSPSC 21102601: Plastic film for agriculture

Specialized type of plastic fillm designed for agricultural applications to provide crop protection

UNSPSC 21102601 Plastic film for agriculture is a Commodity code that classifies specialized film products used in agricultural production. State and local government procurement under this code is minimal; the recent opportunities block contains no active solicitations for agricultural plastic film. The three most recent entries tagged to this code consist of a departmental relocation notice for Williamson County, Texas (not a procurement opportunity), a law enforcement equipment cooperative purchasing RFP issued by Sourcewell on behalf of Minnesota and Washington jurisdictions, and a school nutrition program food bid from Butts County Schools in Georgia. None of these opportunities involve agricultural plastic film procurement, indicating a significant mismatch between the code assignment and actual buying activity.

The code shows little relevant recent state and local procurement activity. Buyers interested in pursuing agricultural plastic film contracts should monitor cooperative purchasing vehicles and regional school district, county facilities, and state agricultural agency solicitations, as those entities are the primary users of such materials for greenhouse operations, soil mulching, and other farm-support applications. Without active posted opportunities under this code, pursue strategically by tracking repeat buyers in agricultural regions and registering with cooperative purchasing platforms that serve rural counties and state departments of agriculture.
