UNSPSC 20122408: Oilfield production shaft straighteners

UNSPSC 20122408 Oilfield production shaft straighteners is a Commodity code that shows minimal relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. The two most recent opportunities tagged under this code involve gas extraction and refrigerant recovery services (City of Tucson) and law enforcement equipment procurement (Sourcewell cooperative), neither of which aligns with the code's nominal scope of oilfield shaft-straightening equipment or machinery. State and local governments do not appear to be actively procuring oilfield production shaft straighteners or related drilling-equipment maintenance services through open contracting at this time.

The mismatch between the code name and the actual solicitations posted under it suggests either tagging inconsistency in the issuing offices' procurement systems or that the code is not in regular use for state and local contracting. No representative opportunities in oilfield equipment straightening, drilling-rig maintenance, or related petroleum-extraction machinery services appear in the recent record. Firms evaluating this code should treat it as dormant for state and local business development purposes unless focused on the unrelated gas-extraction or law-enforcement niche work currently miscategorized beneath it.
