UNSPSC 10452200: Dried cut cymbidium orchids

Dried cut blooms of the cymbidium type of orchids

UNSPSC 10452200 Dried cut cymbidium orchids is a Class code showing little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal scope. The two most recent state and local opportunities tagged under this code do not involve dried cut orchids or floristry products at all. Pinellas County's five-year environmental services RFP (solicitation 250628RFP, due July 29, 2025) solicits invasive plant removal, native plant installation, wetland monitoring, and ecological restoration across mitigation sites and stormwater facilities — environmental management work unrelated to cut flowers. Columbus Consolidated Government's Request for Bids No. 26-0014 (due February 25, 2026) procures arts, craft, hobby, and recreational supplies for parks and recreation programming, also unrelated to dried orchids. The mismatch suggests either a tagging error in one or both notices or that this UNSPSC code does not reflect actual state and local purchasing patterns for floristry or horticultural products in the current cycle.

No opportunities in the recent block involve procurement of dried cut cymbidium orchids, floral materials, or related horticultural commodities. Without supporting examples of genuine floristry purchasing under this code, the data does not establish whether this code is actively used by state or local buyers or what geographic regions, if any, drive demand. A business development professional evaluating this code should verify whether the UNSPSC classification is actively applied to floral procurement in the target jurisdictions or whether procurement offices use alternative codes or unstructured processes for such purchases.
