UNSPSC 10231507: Live lexy pompon chrysanthemum

Live plant including the root ball of the lexy variety of pompon chrysanthemum flowers

UNSPSC 10231507 Live lexy pompon chrysanthemum is a Commodity code that does not match the work actually being solicited under it in recent state and local contract opportunities. The recent opportunities on file span IT infrastructure installation, landscaping and irrigation systems, coastal dune restoration with native plants, environmental monitoring and invasive-species removal, and general plant procurement — none of which involves pompon chrysanthemums or the ornamental flowering plants the code nominally describes. The mismatch suggests either a tagging error in the procurement system or that this code is not actively used for state and local plant and landscaping procurement in the available sample.

The code shows minimal relevant recent activity. A search across recent state and local solicitations yields no opportunities substantively tied to pompon chrysanthemum supply, cultivation, or landscape installation. State and local procurement systems may tag opportunities with codes that reflect broader category assignments rather than precise commodity matches, particularly when jurisdictions use hierarchical taxonomies inconsistently or when legacy coding persists despite evolving procurement needs.
