UNSPSC 10231500: Live button chrysanthemums

Live plants including the root ball of the button chrysanthemums

UNSPSC 10231500 Live button chrysanthemums is a Class code that does not match the work state and local governments are actually soliciting under it. The recent opportunities tagged to this code span landscaping and irrigation infrastructure, coastal dune restoration, environmental planting and invasive species management, and general plant procurement — none of which involve chrysanthemums specifically. The code shows a mismatch between its nominal scope and current procurement activity, making it of limited use for targeting opportunities in horticultural supply.

The recent opportunities under this code span counties, cities, and special-purpose districts across Florida, Georgia, and Texas, with issuing bodies including Pasco County, Collier County, Pinellas County, DeKalb County, and the City of Dallas. Representative solicitations include Pasco County's IFB for landscaping and irrigation along Ridge Road (due April 14, 2026, with a contract ceiling of $120,000), Collier County's Quick Quote for coastal dune plantings using native species including sea oats and dune sunflower (due March 13, 2026), and Pinellas County's RFP for five-year environmental planting, monitoring, and maintenance services across wetlands and stormwater sites (due July 29, 2025). The City of Dallas issued an Informal Solicitation for general plant purchases (due February 3, 2026) with no specified budget. The code's tagging suggests a cataloging error rather than authentic demand for live button chrysanthemums at the state and local level.
