1/22/20, 8:44 AM SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: On-Site MTU Diesel Engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Technical Representative Services
The Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) is seeking qualified sources to provide on-site technical representative services for MTU series 4000 marine diesel engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow in Yermo, California. This pre-solicitation notice represents market research to identify potential contractors capable of supporting critical marine diesel engine technical services. The opportunity falls under the NAICS category of All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services (541990) and the PSC category of Technical Representative for Engines, Turbines, and Components. The market research is specifically focused on identifying firms with specialized expertise in MTU diesel engine technical representation and maintenance support. Interested contractors must submit their capabilities and responses by March 12, 2025, which represents the deadline for providing market research information to the Marine Corps.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific small business set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity may be open to all qualified contractors. While no specific award value or budget range is detailed in the notice, the requirement appears to be for comprehensive on-site technical representative services at a Marine Corps logistics base in California. The scope of work involves providing technical support for MTU series 4000 marine diesel engines, which implies a need for high-level technical expertise and potentially specialized knowledge of marine diesel engine systems. The contract will likely involve ongoing maintenance, repair, and potential overhaul services for these critical marine engine assets. The Marine Corps' selection process will presumably evaluate vendors based on their technical capabilities, experience with MTU diesel engines, and ability to provide consistent, high-quality on-site technical representation.
