NIGP 92963: Oil Field Equipment Maintenance and Repair

NIGP 92963 Oil Field Equipment Maintenance and Repair is an Item code that does not align with the recent state and local procurement activity posted under it. The single recorded opportunity—DeKalb County's June 2026 ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Decatur, Georgia—solicits IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation for a municipal recreation facility, including conduit, cabling, raceways, testing, and documentation. This scope bears no relationship to oil field equipment maintenance or repair and reflects a misfiling or taxonomy-application error in the procurement system. The issuing body is a county government.

The geographic activity is limited to Georgia based on the single posted opportunity. No representative sample of oil field equipment maintenance and repair solicitations appears in recent state and local procurement postings. The mismatch between the NIGP code definition and actual activity posted under it suggests this code sees minimal legitimate use in state and local procurement, or the opportunities are filed under different codes.
