NIGP 82036: Coils, Steam Heating

NIGP 82036 Coils, Steam Heating is an Item code under which state and local governments procure repair and maintenance services for steam and condensate systems serving facilities, utilities infrastructure, and institutional campuses. The code covers on-call and as-needed repair contracts that require contractors to supply labor, equipment, tools, materials, and specialized expertise to keep steam distribution and heat-exchange systems operational across multiple locations within a jurisdiction.

The County of Santa Clara Procurement Department issued ITB-PRC-FY26-0708 on May 27, 2026 for as-needed steam and condensate systems repairs services across County facilities and the County Health System, with an estimated contract value of $5.4 million and a response deadline of June 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. The work is classified as public work subject to prevailing-wage requirements, and bids require a bid bond or equivalent security equal to 10% of the total bid price ($540,000 minimum). Bidders must submit electronically through Biddingo and deliver the original bid bond in person by the deadline; bonds must be complete, executed, notarized, and bear wet-ink signatures from both principal and surety with a wet-ink surety seal or embossed stamp. The source reflects limited recent-opportunity data; additional solicitation activity under this code across other jurisdictions is not documented in the current record.
