NIGP 81072: Spray Equipment, Livestock, Machine Powered

NIGP 81072 Spray Equipment, Livestock, Machine Powered is an Item code covering powered spray systems designed for application to livestock and animal agricultural operations. State and local governments procure this equipment primarily through agricultural extension services, county animal control departments, disease-management programs, and special-purpose agricultural districts for parasite control, pesticide application, and animal health management in livestock operations. The equipment typically includes motorized sprayers, backpack and hand-carry powered units, and mounted or vehicle-integrated spray systems used in farm management, animal quarantine, and disease-control contexts.

No recent state or local contract opportunities appear in the available procurement record for this Item code. The absence of posted solicitations under NIGP 81072 suggests either low procurement activity in the recent period or that purchasing entities in this space rely on standing cooperative agreements, direct purchases from vendors, or acquisition through broader agricultural equipment RFPs that do not isolate spray equipment as a line item. Business development professionals evaluating this code should monitor county agricultural offices and state animal health departments for seasonal procurement cycles, particularly in spring and early summer when livestock management and parasite-control programs typically accelerate.
