NIGP 59568: Terrariums

NIGP 59568 Terrariums is an Item code, but the recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not align with the legacy NIGP description. DeKalb County, Georgia posted ITB 2026-076-ITB on June 9, 2026 for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Mason Mill Park, Decatur, with a response deadline of July 13, 2026 — the only recent opportunity indexed under this code. The scope encompasses IT and Low Voltage Infrastructure system installation for the tennis center's new pro shop building, including furnishing and installing conduit, pathways, sleeves, supports, raceways, cabling, terminations, testing, and final documentation in accordance with DeKalb County Department of Innovation and Technology Standards. This solicitation reflects a significant disconnect between the NIGP taxonomy label and the actual work being procured, suggesting either a coding error in the state procurement system or a rare edge case where telecommunications or IT infrastructure work has been classified under a commodity code intended for horticultural equipment.

No additional recent solicitations appear under this code. The single posted opportunity represents activity from a county government in Georgia; insufficient data exists to characterize issuing-body mix, geographic spread, or market momentum under NIGP 59568. Business development professionals should verify the code classification before pursuing this opportunity or investing effort in market research under this NIGP designation.
