NIGP 57814: Boxes, Suggestion Type

NIGP 57814 Boxes, Suggestion Type (Item) covers suggestion boxes and related receptacles procured by state and local governments, though recent solicitation activity under this specific code is minimal and does not clearly reflect the traditional scope of the taxonomy. The most recent opportunities in the source do not align with suggestion-box procurement — instead, they span law enforcement equipment contracting through a cooperative purchasing vehicle and park irrigation system improvements — indicating either miscoding in the source data or that this Item code sees limited contemporary activity in state and local procurement.

Without clear recent opportunities directly matching suggestion-box procurement, no authoritative characterization of issuing-body concentration, geographic spread, or representative work can be drawn from the available source material. If pursuing this code, verify whether state and local governments in your target regions are actively soliciting suggestion boxes through RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB notices, and confirm the correct NIGP Item or Class coding with procurement offices before investing bid-and-proposal resources.
