NIGP 32527: Feeders, All Types (Birds, Pets, Squirrels, etc.)

NIGP 32527 Feeders, All Types (Birds, Pets, Squirrels, Etc.), an Item code, covers the procurement of feeders designed for wildlife and domestic animals—bird feeders, pet food dispensers, squirrel feeders, and related feeding apparatus. State and local governments buy under this code primarily for parks and recreation departments managing public grounds, wildlife management programs, animal control facilities, and educational institutions maintaining grounds or animal care programs. The scope includes feeders of all construction types and materials suitable for outdoor or indoor use, typically sourced as commodity purchases rather than custom fabrication. Issuing bodies span parks departments, county animal control divisions, municipal recreation bureaus, school districts with grounds or animal programs, and state wildlife or environmental agencies.

No recent state and local contract opportunities appear in the source data for this code. The absence of posted solicitations suggests either minimal procurement activity under NIGP 32527 in recent months or that feeders are typically acquired through standing cooperative purchasing agreements, small-dollar purchases below formal notice thresholds, or as subordinate line items within broader grounds-maintenance or animal-care contracts rather than as standalone procurements.
