NIGP 19523: Hourglasses

NIGP 19523 Hourglasses, an Item code, covers sand timers and related timing devices used in educational, recreational, and specialized operational settings by state and local government buyers. The code captures a narrow but recurring product category: mechanical sand timers ranging from small classroom and game-use models to larger industrial or laboratory timing instruments, typically purchased in unit quantities or modest multiples rather than as ongoing service contracts. Buyers under this code span school districts acquiring timers for classroom instruction and testing accommodations, municipalities procuring timing equipment for parks and recreation programs, and specialized departments requiring precision timing devices for operational or regulatory compliance purposes.

The source material contains no recent state or local contract opportunities posted under NIGP 19523 Hourglasses. Without posted solicitations, the geographic distribution of current buying activity and the identity of frequent issuing bodies cannot be determined from available records.
