NIGP 19260: Packing Plant, Smokehouse, and Slaughter House Cleaning Compositions

NIGP 19260 Packing Plant, Smokehouse, and Slaughter House Cleaning Compositions is an Item code that covers specialized cleaning products and formulations used to maintain food-processing facilities—packing plants, smokehouses, and slaughter facilities—where sanitation standards are mission-critical. State and local governments procure these compositions to support food safety compliance and facility operations at Department of Agriculture inspection stations, county health departments that oversee food processors, and municipalities that license and monitor meat-processing operations. The products range from degreasing agents and antimicrobial solutions to scale removers and sanitizing compounds formulated to meet USDA and FDA requirements for food-contact surfaces and equipment.

No recent state and local contract opportunities appear in the procurement record for this Item code. Activity under NIGP 19260 is typically episodic and tied to specific facility maintenance cycles or compliance remediation at meat-processing inspection sites, rather than recurring competitive solicitation. Business development professionals should monitor relevant state agricultural departments, county health departments, and municipal licensing offices for occasional RFQs or ITBs when these agencies issue facility-maintenance or food-safety contracts.
