NIGP 03182: Stoves, Wood or Coal

NIGP 03182 Stoves, Wood Or Coal is an Item code describing heating equipment that state and local governments procure for facilities and operations. The scope of work under this code encompasses the purchase and supply of wood-burning and coal-burning stove units for use in public buildings, maintenance facilities, and other government properties. State and local issuing bodies soliciting under the code include county purchasing departments and cooperative purchasing vehicles serving multi-jurisdictional consortia of public entities.

Recent posted opportunities under this code are sparse. A Sourcewell RFP (#061626) issued in May 2026 on behalf of the State of Minnesota and participating entities in Washington state (including Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima Counties) sought law enforcement equipment through a cooperative purchasing framework with a response deadline of June 16, 2026, though this opportunity does not explicitly identify wood or coal stoves as a line item within its broader scope. Williamson County, Texas posted an administrative relocation notice in July 2026 with no procurement scope. The code shows minimal recent activity across the state and local procurement market; vendors should verify current demand before committing resources to pursuit under this category.
