NIGP 01061: Insulation, Reflective (Radiant Barrier)

NIGP 01061 Insulation, Reflective (Radiant Barrier), an Item code, covers reflective and radiant-barrier insulation products used in building envelope applications and energy-efficiency retrofits. State and local governments purchase these materials for facility maintenance, new construction, and thermal-performance improvement projects across schools, municipal buildings, and county facilities. The issuing bodies span county purchasing departments, city facilities management offices, school districts, and regional infrastructure authorities seeking to control heating and cooling costs through reflective insulation installation.

The source contains no active procurement opportunities under this code. The single recent notice posted by Williamson County Purchasing Department in Texas on July 14, 2026 is an administrative relocation announcement—a change of address for the county's purchasing office—and does not describe a solicitation for reflective insulation or any other commodity. Without active solicitations in the recent-opportunities block, no representative opportunity detail, geographic concentration, or vendor-activity pattern can be established from available data.
