About this IDV
The Defense Logistics Agency Strategic Materials awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract to American Energy Technologies Company on July 2, 2026, with a contract ceiling of $65,000,000 and an ultimate completion date of July 1, 2031. This is a multiple-award IDIQ with no set-aside.
American Energy Technologies Company is a woman-owned small business headquartered in Glenview, Illinois.
The originating solicitation, posted January 15, 2026 and due February 13, 2026 (as extended by Amendment 0003), sought procurement of vanadium pentoxide flakes for use in aerospace-grade components, titanium alloys, and vanadium flow batteries. All vanadium pentoxide must meet a minimum V2O5 content of 99.0 percent and be tested by an independent, ISO 17025-certified third-party laboratory with submission of a Certificate of Analysis for each production lot prior to shipment. The Government estimates annual requirements ranging from 650 metric tons in Year 1 to 505 metric tons in Year 5, totaling 2,876 metric tons over the contract period. Delivery is required within 36 months of delivery order issuance to one of three DLA Strategic Materials depots: Scotia, New York; Hawthorne, Nevada; or Hammond, Indiana. Material must be packaged in new, UN 1A2-compliant 55-gallon steel drums on pallets constructed of high-density hardwood.
The contract carries a minimum guaranteed purchase value of $1,000,000. Delivery orders are to be competed using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable procedures, Best Value Tradeoff procedures, or direct award in the interest of industrial mobilization under other-than-full-and-open-competition procedures.
