The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Aeronautical Systems Center has awarded a $32.5 billion multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, known as the Training Systems Acquisition IV (TSA IV) program, to streamline and standardize training system acquisition and support procurement processes. The IDIQ contract has been awarded to both small and large businesses, with no set-aside used. The primary scope of the TSA IV contract includes sustainment activities such as contractor logistics support, training systems support center operations, and software upgrades to existing training systems across the Air Force. Additional scope includes courseware development, instruction, and the development of new training systems. The first task order awarded under the TSA IV IDIQ was a $1,000 firm fixed price delivery order to Spirit Simulation Inc. for a post-award conference to discuss the initial task order. Performance on this task order will take place at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio by June 2023.
