The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) awarded a $213 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. Aerospace Business Division, a large for-profit aerospace manufacturer, to provide depot-level maintenance, programmed depot maintenance, service life extension, and other sustainment services for A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft operated by the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) in the Indo-Pacific region. This long-term ID/IQ contract, which runs through 2029, serves as a vehicle for the Air Force to issue firm-fixed-price delivery orders for A-10 maintenance work to be performed at Korean Air Lines' facilities in South Korea. To date, the AFLCMC has awarded multiple delivery orders under this ID/IQ, ranging from $34,000 to over $2.9 million, to support PACAF's mission readiness and extend the service life of its A-10 fleet. The contract does not utilize any small business set-asides.

In addition to the $213 million A-10 ID/IQ, Korean Air Lines holds other significant aircraft sustainment contracts with the U.S. military, including a $504 million ID/IQ for F-16 maintenance and service life extension, also supporting PACAF, as well as a $303 million ID/IQ for H-53 helicopter programmed maintenance and reset repairs for the Navy and Marine Corps. These long-term contracts demonstrate the U.S. Department of Defense's ongoing reliance on Korean Air Lines' aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities to sustain critical aircraft fleets in the strategically important Indo-Pacific theater.
