Maintenance of Canberra Equipment
Added: Jul 27, 2015 1:16 pm The National Institute of Standards and Technology has a requirement for repair services for Canberra instruments. Service shall be provided upon issuance of task orders by the Government, as needed, on a firm fixed price and/or time and materials basis. Equipment covered under the resultant indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract shall include HPGe detectors and Lynx digital system analyzers used by NIST personnel in Gaithersburg, MD. A total of 11pieces of equipment shall be covered.Currently, there is not any equipment to be covered that is utilized by NIST personnel in Boulder, CO or Charleston, SC. The statement of work does note that the Government reserves the right to add equipment via bi-lateral modification to the contract. It is intended that all NIST sites could utilize the resultant contract.The labor and/or service rates will be negotiated in the contract. The period of performance for all maintenance shall be for a base period of one year with four one-year option periods.The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219 with a small business size standard of $20.5M. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized under the authority of FAR Parts 12 and 13. This requirement is being competed using full and open competition. Award of a single IDIQ contract is anticipated.The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number SB1341-15-RQ-0500.Potential quoters shall be responsible for obtaining this solicitation and related Amendments, if any, from www.fbo.gov after the solicitation has been posted. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of each potential quoter to monitor www.fbo.gov for any amendments or other information related to the solicitation.Any communications regarding this acquisition must be made in writing and forwarded via email to carol.wood@nist.gov, and shall identify the solicitation number, company name, company address, as well as point of contact email address and phone number.NIST anticipates posting the solicitation immediately after the publication of this notice.
