The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded multiple Indefinite Delivery Contracts under the Vaccines for Children 2021 master IDIQ to support pediatric immunization programs. The contracts have a potential value of $1.6 billion and a period of performance from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022.

Under the contracts, Pfizer Inc. will provide 20 standard pediatric vaccines to be purchased by CDC's Immunization Awardees and distributed to the 50 states and U.S. territories. The vaccines include DTaP, Hepatitis A&B, Hib, HPV, MCV4, MMR, Pneumococcal, Rotavirus, Tdap, Varicella and others. Estimated quantities range from a minimum of 100 doses to a maximum of 13 million doses depending on the vaccine. The purpose of procuring these vaccines is to support immunization of children under the Vaccines for Children program and Section 317(j) of the Public Health Service Act.

The original solicitation sought proposals for IDC contracts for the listed pediatric vaccines to meet CDC's vaccine stockpile needs. Proposals were due on February 4, 2021 and the contracts were awarded on August 6, 2021 to support the stated immunization programs through the period of performance.
