GSA's Public Buildings Service awarded a single-award indefinite-delivery contract to IGI Resources Inc. on November 1, 2026, for natural gas supply with a ceiling of $1,042,816.99 and completion by November 30, 2027.
The contract carries no set-aside designation. Place of performance spans approximately 25 states nationwide across multiple utility service territories, serving federal facility accounts including Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, Bureau of Prisons, USDA, NASA, EPA, and Department of Energy installations.
The underlying solicitation, posted April 1, 2026, with proposals due April 30, 2026, sought competitive natural gas supply to approximately 170 federal facility accounts. Qualified offerors were required to demonstrate current approval as natural gas suppliers with specified local distribution companies, maintain firm transportation agreements with interstate pipelines, and possess financial capacity rated A or better. Awards were to be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror(s). The solicitation contemplated contract terms of up to 60 months for full monthly billing cycles, with pricing to include all upstream costs such as balancing, nominating, storage, and transportation fees, plus a $0.065 per dekatherm fee for energy procurement support services. GSA reserved the right to conduct separate auctions for different pricing groups throughout the fiscal year. Amendment 0001, issued April 22, 2026, removed two accounts and updated preliminary account listings.
The period of performance runs from contract award through November 30, 2027. IGI Resources Inc. is responsible for arranging gas delivery, coordinating with local distribution companies, managing transportation, and ensuring reliable natural gas supply to government installations.
