The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Integrated Service Network 23 (VISN 23) awarded a single-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Caldaia Controls LLC, a U.S. service-disabled veteran-owned small business, for $700,000 to provide boiler plant testing and inspection services at the Sioux Falls VA Healthcare System in South Dakota. The 5-year contract, with a base period from February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026 and four one-year option periods, requires comprehensive boiler plant maintenance including preventive maintenance, safety device testing, boiler tune-ups, fuel system maintenance, and calibration of instruments and controls. The contract is a 100% service-disabled veteran-owned small business set-aside and will support critical heating, ventilation, and cooling infrastructure at the VA facility, with the contractor required to mobilize personnel within 10 calendar days of a task order and respond to inquiries within one day.
Under this IDIQ, the VA has issued a $39,180 firm fixed-price delivery order to Caldaia Controls LLC for boiler plant testing and inspection services through March 14, 2030 at the St. Petersburg VA Healthcare System. Caldaia Controls LLC, an experienced federal contractor with over 30 awards since 2019, will provide these essential boiler maintenance and repair services in support of the VA's facility operations under this indefinite delivery contract vehicle.
