The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 (VA-VHA VISN 8) awarded a $5.9 million Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to RG Ambulance Service, Inc., a minority-owned and self-certified small disadvantaged business, to provide non-emergency ground ambulance transportation services for the VA Orlando Healthcare System. This single-award IDC has a period of performance through September 2025. Two firm fixed price delivery orders, valued at $1.42 million and $760,509.98 respectively, have been issued under this IDC to transport veterans to and from VA medical facilities and appointments across six counties in central Florida.
The original solicitation sought to meet the ground transportation requirements for the VA Orlando Healthcare System, including the provision of all necessary vehicles, personnel, equipment, fuel, and reporting to support both emergency and non-emergency ambulance services. RG Ambulance Service is the prime contractor under this contract and no small business set-asides were utilized. This contract aims to ensure the VA can effectively support the medical transportation needs of veterans receiving care at VA facilities in the Orlando region.
