About this IDV
The General Services Administration issued a Federal Supply Schedule contract to American Pollution Control Corp, doing business as Ampol, on October 1, 2011, under the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) with a ceiling value of $6.737 million and a performance period through September 30, 2031. The contract is not set-aside and carries no socioeconomic restrictions.
Ampol is approved to supply floating marine barriers, oil containment booms (both permanent and response-type), floats, perimeter floats, moorings, and supplementary deployment accessories including anchors, buoys, nylon ropes, and tow bridles. Points of performance are in Harvey, Louisiana and New Iberia, Louisiana, with domestic delivery across the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories. Standard delivery is 30 to 60 days after receipt of order, with expedited delivery available in three days when items are in stock.
The schedule has generated substantial ordering activity across Navy agencies. Since 2018, the Department of the Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Naval Supply Systems Command have issued over 40 delivery orders for oil spill response equipment, including permanent and response-type containment booms, boom mooring systems, tow bridles, boom reels, and stand-off units. Recent orders include a $203.644 million delivery order in August 2023 for 3,000 feet of permanent and response-type booms with associated equipment, and a $185.1 million order in June 2023 for the Bremerton oil spill response program. Orders have been placed for delivery at Navy installations nationwide, Guam, Japan, and Naval Station Rota in Spain. The U.S. Coast Guard has also issued orders under this schedule, including an August 2020 order for fence boom and a June 2020 order for 1,200 feet of boom. Ampol designates itself as a small business in SAM.gov; several delivery orders have carried small business set-asides, though most orders carry no set-aside designation.
