The Sanborn Map Company, Inc. has been awarded a $174.1 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to provide aerial imagery acquisition services in support of programs such as the National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP), National Resource Inventory (NRI), and Stewardship Lands (SL). The BPA, which has a period of performance from November 2021 to November 2026, enables USDA agencies like the Farm Service Agency and National Resources Conservation Service to issue task orders for the delivery of high-resolution orthorectified imagery, airborne GPS data, and associated geospatial products. These services will be used to monitor agricultural land use, inventory natural resources, manage wildfires, and create accurate maps for decision-making. Sanborn, a leading provider of comprehensive geospatial solutions to the federal government, may utilize subcontractors like Arrowhawk Imaging LLC, Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc., and Kinetics Geospatial LLC to fulfill the contract requirements. In addition to this BPA, Sanborn holds an $850 million Indefinite Delivery Contract with the U.S. Geological Survey for the Geospatial Products and Services IV program, further positioning the company as a key provider of geospatial services to civilian federal agencies. Under the $174.1 million USDA BPA, Sanborn has been awarded several task orders for aerial imagery acquisition in support of specific NAIP, NRI, and SL program requirements. These include a $1.9 million contract for 2024 NAIP imagery, a $1.5 million contract for 2024 SL imagery in Sanborn County, Colorado, and a $1.4 million contract for 2024 NRI imagery. The contracts, which are firm fixed-price and utilize the Multiple Award Schedule contract vehicle, do not have any set-aside designations. The aerial imagery and geospatial data delivered under these task orders will be used by USDA agencies for land use monitoring, natural resource inventory, and conservation planning.
