The 2nd Generation Information Technology Blanket Purchase Agreement (2GIT BPA) is a multiple award IDV established by the General Services Administration to provide the Department of Defense and associated federal agencies with information technology products and services. Federal Merchants Corporation was awarded one of these IDVs on a multiple award basis under the Multiple Award Schedule contracting vehicle.
The 2GIT BPA and subsequent task order awards provide for a range of IT commodities, software, and related products and services. Awarding agencies include various branches of the Air Force, Navy, Department of State, and others. Places of performance span the United States and abroad. Task order values range from several hundred to several hundred thousand dollars for items such as desktop computers, mobile devices, networking equipment, software licenses and support, and other IT management tools needed to support ongoing modernization efforts. The period of performance for individual task orders is typically one year or less, while the IDV itself extends multiple years with an estimated ceiling value of $500 million. No subcontracting or socioeconomic set-asides are specified.
