This is a $589,353 Federal Project Grant awarded on March 11, 2025 by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267). The grant funds will support the efforts of Community Action, Inc. of Rock and Walworth Counties, a non-profit organization in Beloit, Wisconsin, to provide a range of services to address homelessness in the local community.
The key products and services to be delivered through this funding include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. The organization will work to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. The grant will cover eligible costs such as rental assistance, housing relocation and stabilization services, and operating expenses for supportive housing. As a sub-recipient, Community Action will partner with state and local agencies to administer the federal program and deliver these services.
