ACTIVITIES PERFORMED PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PUBLIC AGENCIES, PROJECT OWNERS, CONTRACTORS, APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS AND UNIONS TO ENSURE THAT EQUITY IS EMBEDDED IN THESE INVESTMENTS, EXPANDING GENERAL AND TRADE SPECIFIC PRE-APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING AND STRENGTHENING THE ROLE THAT APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS, UNIONS, AND CONTRACTORS PLAY IN INCREASING THE NUMBER OF WOMEN PREPARED TO ENTER THESE FIELDS. CREATE NATIONAL, REGIONAL AND LOCAL MENTORSHIP MODELS THAT SUPPORT WOMEN'S RETENTION THROUGH SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND SKILL BUILDING TO ADVANCE IN SKILLED TRADE OCCUPATIONS. PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY AND SCALING OF THE BEST PRACTICES LEARNED FROM THE PROJECT, BY HOSTING INSTITUTES FOR INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS, TRADESWOMEN, COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, AND STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES ON MAXIMIZING WORKFORCE EQUITY IN INFRASTRUCTURE, AND BUILDING MENTORSHIP MODELS TO ENSURE EQUITY FOR TRADESWOMEN. DELIVERABLES CWIT EXPECTS TO OFFER 4 SESSIONS OF PRE-APPRENTICESHIP ANNUALLY DURING THE GRANT PERIOD SERVING WOMEN. IN PHILADELPHIA WINC WILL SERVE WOMEN IN ITS TRADESWOMEN'S READINESS PROGRAM THROUGH LEVERAGED FUNDS. CWIT WILL ALSO RECRUIT AND PREPARE WOMEN FOR SUCCESS, PROVIDING CASE MANAGEMENT, PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE, MENTORSHIP AND PROVISION OF WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT SERVICES, WHILE THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS WILL DESIGN AND DELIVER CURRICULUM AND WORK TO PLACE SUCCESSFUL GRADUATES IN REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP.
