The Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded Catholic Community Services of Western Washington $367,066 under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) on March 1, 2026.
Catholic Community Services, a Seattle-based nonprofit providing integrated social services and housing support to vulnerable populations, will use the funding to establish and operate projects addressing homelessness. The Continuum of Care Program funds eligible costs across five components: permanent housing (including permanent supportive housing for persons with disabilities and rapid rehousing), transitional housing, supportive services only, Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS), and in some cases homelessness prevention. Assistance may also cover planning activities, fiscal control and accounting for subrecipient disbursals, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property for housing or supportive services, and new construction.
The award period runs from March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027, with performance taking place in Seattle, Washington. The program is designed to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness and to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation, while supporting access to mainstream programs and optimizing self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness.
