The Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded $209,986 to Catholic Community Services of Western Washington on June 1, 2026, under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267). The award funds eligible costs to establish and operate projects under five program components: permanent housing, including permanent supportive housing for persons with disabilities and rapid rehousing; transitional housing; supportive services only; Homeless Management Information Systems; and, in some cases, homelessness prevention. The program supports thirteen types of assistance, including COC planning activities, Unified Funding Agency costs for fiscal control and accounting, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property, and new construction for housing or supportive services. The period of performance runs through May 31, 2027, with place of performance in Seattle, Washington. Catholic Community Services, a nonprofit headquartered in Seattle that serves vulnerable populations including those experiencing homelessness, veterans, and seniors, is classified as a Project Grant recipient. The funding supports the program's goal of promoting community-wide commitment to ending homelessness and enabling nonprofit providers to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation.
