This federal Project Grant award of $980,465 under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) will fund a range of activities by the Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) to address homelessness in the state.
The award will support VSHA's efforts to promote community-wide strategies for quickly rehousing homeless individuals and families, while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. Eligible activities include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. VSHA may use the funds for leasing, rental assistance, supportive services, operating costs, and other allowable expenses under the CoC Program. The grant period runs from March 11, 2025 to December 31, 2025. Although the specific subrecipient activities are unknown at this time, the award will enable VSHA to continue delivering critical housing assistance and services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness across Vermont.
