The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded a $1,999,021 Project Grant under the Maternal and Child Health Federal Consolidated Programs (CFDA 93.110) to the Altarum Institute in Novi, Michigan. The 5-year grant, awarded on September 30, 2024, will support the Center for Maternal and Child Health Medicaid Partnerships (CMMP).
The CMMP will assist state Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant programs in identifying shared priorities and providing tailored technical assistance to achieve goals for Medicaid and CHIP-eligible maternal and child health populations. The CMMP will work to align interagency agreements, financing, and funding models to build comprehensive systems that improve eligibility, coverage, access, policies, accountability, payment models, and resource utilization. The project aims to reduce gaps in access and coverage while facilitating the scale and spread of maternal and child health care innovations across states.
