The Department of Housing and Urban Development's Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development awarded the Housing Authority of Fort Worth, Texas $338,027 on April 1, 2026, under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267). The award funds activities to establish and operate projects in one or more of five program components: permanent housing (including permanent supportive housing and rapid rehousing), transitional housing, supportive services only, homeless management information systems, and in some cases homelessness prevention. Eligible costs include COC planning activities, United Funding Agency costs for fiscal control and accounting, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property for housing or supportive services, and new construction. The period of performance runs through March 31, 2027. Work is performed in Fort Worth, Texas. The Continuum of Care Program is designed to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness, provide funding for nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation, promote access to mainstream programs, and optimize self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
