The program will establish a cross-organizational, multidisciplinary curriculum development team to create didactic and clinical training content specific to street-based care delivery for people experiencing homelessness. The project will deliver expanded training activities that provide personalized and continuous learning, assessment, and feedback to residents, faculty, training coaches, and preceptors across multiple street medicine roles. By tripling the annual number of residents who gain competency and empathy in treating complex health challenges faced by homeless populations, FHCSD will strengthen the primary care workforce's capacity to deliver sensitive, quality healthcare and psychosocial support directly to underserved patients in street-based settings. The program is also expected to drive expansion of FHCSD's street medicine program into new venues and additional service hours.Federal Grant Award Summary
