Rosebud Economic Development Corporation (REDCO) received a $659,089 Project Grant award on June 11, 2025, from the Department of the Treasury's Departmental Offices to support the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Technical Assistance Grant Program (CFDA 21.031). Under this award, REDCO will provide technical assistance services—including legal, accounting, and financial advisory services—to very small businesses and business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. These services are designed to help eligible small businesses prepare and submit applications for SSBCI Capital Programs or other federal and jurisdictional small business support initiatives.
The SSBCI Technical Assistance Grant Program is a one-time initiative authorized under Section 3301 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, with funding allocated to eligible jurisdictions on a formula basis. REDCO, as a tribally owned economic development organization, serves as the direct service provider for technical assistance delivery within its jurisdiction. The award is subject to compliance review requirements and standard federal grant record retention obligations of seven years following award closure.
